AI engineering for systems that have to work in production.
A model that gives one good answer is a demo. We engineer the system around it: the integrations, the checks, the controls and the record.
AI engineering is the discipline of building software that has a language model or a machine-learning model inside it and still behaves predictably. The model is one part. The rest is ordinary, demanding engineering: data access, integrations, permissions, testing, monitoring and a way to recover when something fails.
Gris Noir is led by Yacine Dahman, PhD, who has spent over a decade architecting and building AI and software systems in demanding production environments, including explainable machine learning for rare-disease genomic interpretation at Congenica and the core technology behind mOI Health at OtoImmune.
How we build.
Tested before launch
We define what acceptable output is and build the evaluation first, so every change to a prompt, a model or the code is checked against the same cases.
Controlled in operation
Fixed rules where the answer must be exact, a model where judgement helps, and a person where the decision carries weight.
Observable afterwards
Every run leaves a trace. Failures become new test cases, which is how the system improves after it ships.
What you end up with.
Inside your infrastructure
The system runs in your environment, connected to the tools your team already uses.
Yours to own
The system belongs to the business, whether or not we keep running it.
Not tied to one model
The model is a replaceable part, so you can change provider as cost and quality move.
Auditable
A record of what the system read, produced and escalated, and who approved it.
Questions.
Do you work with our engineering team?
Yes. We build inside your environment and hand over a system your team can run, or we run it for you as Operating Partner.
Is this staff augmentation?
No. We take responsibility for a defined system at a fixed price, from design to production.
Can you rescue an AI project that stalled?
Often. The Blueprint starts from how the operation runs and what has already been built, and says plainly what is worth keeping.
What does it cost?
The Blueprint is £8.5k, fixed. A Retrofit is typically £45–60k, with the price fixed once the Blueprint is done. Operating Partner is £5–8k a month and optional.
